When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do?

When I was 5 years old, I helped the maintenance person move tools and sketch up the solution for new drainage at our country house, where I had the epiphany of becoming a builder. Since very little, I've been passionate about building with timber blocks, rock and clay, and also enjoy fixing up anything that was broken or malfunctioning around the house... Engineering/building/making was in me always.


What are you most passionate about ?

Finding solutions and open-minded conversations.


Why did you join NAWIC?

NAWIC provides opportunities to get together, exchange experiences and have a great conversations. Because I believe that with NAWIC we can provide a friendly hand to all women thriving in the industry. 


What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?

A stronger female representation in all the roles at all levels. A workforce 50/50 by 2030.


Words of wisdom or tips for women at the start of or considering a career in construction:

Be strong, be smart, dream high and challenge the norm.


What is your favourite thing to do for fun?

I do love Volleyball, surfing and riding motorbikes. (well, in the last 2, I am a passionate Beginner)
