When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do:

I wanted to be part of an exciting industry that changes lives either at home, school, work or leisure. I wanted to be part of a team, working with others to complete the same goal. Mostly I wanted a interesting work base of different projects and different people. From what I could see, the construction industry includes all of that.

What are you most passionate about?

Encouraging young women and men into the industry. There are so many career opportunities, plenty of ways to be creative and innovative, and great team work is essential.

Why did you start NAWIC?

I wanted to meet more women in the same industry, and I had no idea how many amazing women were out there.

What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?

Normal to have more women in trades and at the leadership table.
