When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do:

Renovating/building my own home was something I had always dreamt of doing when growing up. After building my first home, I was given the opportunity to work within a great team of multiple trades (Tiling, Painting, Masonry, Plastering & Rockcote) I took the leap and now enjoy every moment of seeing someone else's dream home come to life. 

What are you most passionate about?

I am passionate about working within a fun yet professional team environment whilst overseeing dreams and visions being bought together. It’s amazing what can be achieved within a home. 

Why did you join NAWIC?

I enjoy being a part of a team, it’s a good way to meet like minded people who are driven by the same similarities. The idea of creating an environment where we can all share, grow and support each other within the construction industry is awesome.   

What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?

I would like to see the number of women continuing to grow within the construction industry. Setting the bar high and becoming role models to encourage the younger generation.

Words of wisdom or tips for women at the start of or considering a career in construction:

If you have an idea but unsure of how to execute it, take the leap, be confident and ask lots of questions. 

What is your favourite thing to do for fun:

I enjoy getting outdoors and spending time with family and friends, traveling and playing team sports.
