How many years have you been in the construction industry:
Recently in 2025, but my family has always been in construction.
When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do:
Earlier this year, having a strong financial background I realised I really enjoyed being part of the action, albeit behind the scenes.
What are you most passionate about?
I'm passionate about making the numbers tell the story, helping projects stay on track financially and seeing how my work supports the bigger picture.
Why did you join NAWIC?
I joined NAWIC to connect with other women in the industry, learn from their experiences and be a part of a community that supports and empowers each other.
What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?
I'd love to see more women in leadership roles, more visibility across all areas of the industry and a culture where diversity is genuinely valued.
Words of wisdom or tips for women at the start of or considering a career in construction:
Don't be afraid to take up space and ask questions. Everyone starts somewhere. Build your network, find mentors who inspire you and back yourself even when it feels tough.
What is your favourite thing to do for fun:
Spending time at the beach is my go to. Whether its swimming, walking alond the sand, or just soaking up the sun, there's nothing better than being by the sea especially her in Te Tai Tokerau.
