What is your current title for work?

Company Director – BOP Integrated Project Solutions. Providing project management, drafting, design and fire safety design services


How many years have you been in the construction industry:

Graduated from BOP Polytech in 2003 with a National Diploma in Architectural Technology. Went on to work as structural draftsperson for consulting engineers here and the UK for a period. Started a part time diploma in Construction Management in 2014. Began working for myself in March 2019


When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do:

When my parents built our family home in 1997. I loved seeing that process from the beginning


What are you most passionate about?

Doing the best job I can for my clients, and in general ensuring that my clients get the best out of any construction service providers. I believe in providing the best service possible.


Why did you join NAWIC?

Because I really want to encourage women to be at the forefront of an industry that has always been traditionally male dominated


What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?

More women in the industry in general, and in particular in roles of higher responsibility, which I think is lacking at times


Words of wisdom or tips for women at the start of or considering a career in construction:

Don’t let yourself be intimidated by any male counterparts.


What is your favourite thing to do for fun:

Hanging out with good friends, going to the gym and drinking coffee
