About 2015

What are you most passionate about?

Encouraging women to enter the Plumbing, Gasfitting & Drainlaying industry. Empowering other women running businesses.

For me personally, both at work and at home with our two boys, giving has always meant finding ways to make someone else’s life easier. Whether it’s sharing experience, lessons learned, tools, time, or just being someone’s sounding board, I believe that if I’ve faced something hard, I can pass on the shortcut so someone else doesn’t have to struggle through it alone.

Because when one person grows, the whole team rises.

And when women thrive, our whole community gains.

Why did you join NAWIC?

I loved the idea of a network designed to support women through all facets of the construction sector.

What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?

Support & guidance are the main ones for me. Making sure they don't feel alone or isolated.

Words of wisdom or tips for women at the start of or considering a career in construction:

Don't be afraid to ask questions. Find your person that you feel comfortable talking to about anything so you always have someone if you need to discuss any issues with.

What is your favourite thing to do for fun:

Tramping, fishing & spending time with my family
