What is your current work title?

Graduate Engineer at Downer

When did you start working in construction?

2022.

When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do:

Since Year 11 in high school (15y/o), I’ve had the inspiration to work in the construction sector, specifically in civil engineering. As I grew older, I worked towards this goal and am lucky enough to have had the opportunities to fulfil my dream.

What are you most passionate about?

Passionate about being involved in projects and developing collaborative working relationships and delivering some outstanding projects, I have been very lucky to be a part of some very cool projects over the years.

Why did you join NAWIC?

I wanted to grow my network outside of my workplace and be connected with more wonderful women in construction. I see NAWIC as a great organisation that supports and empowers

women, and I want to be part of that change that NAWIC will bring.

What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?

We are underrepresented in the construction sector, especially in higher managerial roles. I would love to see more women in these roles, and encourage those early on in their career to aim high.

Words of wisdom or tips for women at the start of or considering a career in construction:

- Say yes to all the opportunities that come your way

- Never sell yourself short

- Stand up for your values

What is your favourite thing to do for fun:

Painting, karaoke nights, long drives and exploring.
