When did you start working in construction?

2011

When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do:

I found myself naturally gravitating towards construction during my engineering studies. I’ve always enjoyed the variety the industry offers and the genuine satisfaction that comes from seeing something being built from the ground up.

What are you most passionate about?

I’m passionate about working with purpose and making a meaningful contribution, particularly by supporting the growth and development of others.

Why did you join NAWIC?

I’d known about NAWIC for some time, but attending the NAWIC Excellence Awards really inspired me to get involved. It was amazing to see the incredible range of work women are doing in the industry. I want to help keep the momentum going and support other women as they come through.

What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?

I’d like to see more women stepping into leadership roles, and a greater diversity of role models in the industry. It can make a real difference to what we feel is possible. I also hope that women in construction have access to strong networks and support, so they feel confident and encouraged throughout their careers.
