When did you start working in construction?
2018
When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do?
After 30 years in the classroom, it was time for a new challenge. I moved into Health and Safety, then Adult Education, and quickly realised how underserved adults were when it came to practical, accessible education in construction. That gap is what drew me in, and kept me here.
What are you most passionate about?
Education, especially making learning meaningful, engaging, and truly supportive for adults in the trades.
Why did you join NAWIC?
To give back, advocate for women, and champion the importance of education in building stronger futures for our industry.
What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?
Equity — real and measurable.

Be brave. Be yourself. And absolutely back yourself.
What is your favourite thing to do for fun?
The older I have go the more I love spending time in my garden and doing anything crafty!
