When did you start working in construction?

2015

When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do:

I was given the opportunity to work in construction as a labourer while studying and found a real interest in the work being completed so when my studies finished, I pivoted and signed up to study occupational health and safety as I saw that I could have positive impact in the industry without being hands on the tools.

What are you most passionate about?

Ensuring everyone goes home safe.

Why did you join NAWIC?

To meet other women in the industry, network and sharing ideas.I would like the industry to have an inclusive welcoming culture that is a space encouraging all people to want to join the industry. 

Words of wisdom or tips for women at the start of or considering a career in construction:

I would encourage all women to start a career in construction as there are so many different career paths, and the opportunities to pivot and develop are endless.

What is your favourite thing to do for fun:

I love being social with my friends and my current hobby is running.
