What is your current title for work?

Sales, Design, Marketing and Full Contract Bathroom Renovation Manager.

Your current organisation for work:

Inspire Living

How many years have you been in the construction industry:

2 Years

When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do:

I decided that construction was the industry I wanted to work in when I was exploring how I can combine my previous experience in graphic design with a more local and hands-on industry. It turns out it was a great fit!

What are you most passionate about?

I am passionate about assisting clients to make smart, timeless and purposeful design decisions and to see those come to life through both sales and project management of the trades Inspire Living offers and our full contract renovations.

Why did you join NAWIC?

I joined NAWIC to expand my connections in the industry, meet like-minded people and learn more about the different roles and sectors within construction.

What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?

I would like to see the opportunities for women to continue to increase and for women to see construction as an industry that is full of unique, diverse roles that can embrace a range of different skills and backgrounds.

Words of wisdom or tips for women at the start of or considering a career in construction:

I would recommend women who are interested in starting a career in construction to jump at any opportunity to learn about different parts of the industry, to meet other like-minded people and to think about how they fit within the industry as this often can empower you to own your space and grow your knowledge based on what you bring to the table.

What is your favourite thing to do for fun:

I love spending time with my friends and family - ideally together enjoying great food and cocktails.
