How many years have you been in the construction industry:

2+ years

When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do:

My Husband and I were looking for a new Business Venture and came across this for sale. We haven’t looked back.

What are you most passionate about?

I love that more and more females are in the Construction Industry.

Why did you join NAWIC?

I joined to meet other women in the Industry for networking and to make new Contacts. I thought it would be great to get something going that is primarily for women.

What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?

I would like other women to realise there are no barriers in the Industry and to get involved if that is what they are looking for in a career.

Words of wisdom or tips for women at the start of or considering a career in construction:

Go for it and enjoy what they are doing. Don’t be afraid to make the move.

What is your favourite thing to do for fun:

I have a large family that takes up a lot of my spare time. If I am not doing something with my children or grandchildren I am at sport. Hockey, squash and dragonboats.
