When did you start in the construction industry:

2001

When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do:

We have worked alongside construction and related companies since 2001, helping to equip, clothe and market their teams so they can put their best foot forward.

What are you most passionate about?

Making sure people are well equipped, safe and seen.

Why did you join NAWIC?

We provide advice and expertise on clothing, uniforms and footwear, marketing and web, design and display items to the construction industry, and we mentor young people, and young

women in particular, about going into business, so it was natural to join the organisation.

What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?

Very positive. There are many organisations who recognise the benefits of employing women in key roles in the construction industry.

Words of wisdom or tips for women at the start of or considering a career in construction:

Be proud of being a woman. Respect others and yourself. Don't try and be someone or something else just to fit in, instead embrace your difference. Allow people to help you and be proactive in helping those following you.

What is your favourite thing to do for fun:

Walk in the bush around Aotearoa.
