When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do:

At the polytech career open night - QS sounded like something I could do. 


What are you most passionate about?

Telling stories -passing on knowledge 


Why did you join NAWIC?

Site visits - to see inside other buildings and the Big projects. And then I met lots of great people. 


What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?

For all women everywhere- Confidence. 

Built on 2 things:

1- being a woman doesn’t matter - you are valued for yourself and your skills.

2- your environment is a safe place with respect. 


Words of wisdom or tips for women at the start of or considering a career in construction:

Negotiate your contract and ask for a pay rise each year. Work out your worth and what drives you, and align your career decisions with that. Keep asking questions.


What is your favourite thing to do for fun:

Be silly and have a laugh, with adults and kids.  Theatre and comedy shows.
