    What is your current job/role?

    Chief Executive Officer

    Previous Governance Experience:

    • Managing Director, Kyndryl NZ Ltd, 2.5 years - Global IT company, please see Linked In excerpt
    • Director, Morrin 70 Investments Ltd, Property Investments 1999 to current, Accounting, finance & risk management
    • Director, Quirino Ltd, Property Development 2003 to Current, Accounting, finance and risk management

Tell us in a few words why you would like to serve on the NAWIC Governance Board?

I am currently CEO of an Engineering company, structural and civil, of around 50 employees and growing. I am particularly interested in attracting more women into the construction industry and in particular into engineering. Currently this number is less than 5% in my company because women are not training in this field.

More women will join if they are aware of role models and are supported once they do join.

I am a member of the NZ Institute of Directors.

What are you most passionate about in construction and what value would you like to add to the existing NAWIC association and its Members?

I believe that this is an important industry, and will become even more vital in NZ over the next year. I don't believe that women should have the "desk jobs", they should be on site as much as men.

The industry has a lot of scope and breadth for new entrants. From design through to chippies on site.

I think the value that I could add, is my seniority and the fact that I am already seen as a role model by many younger members of my staff.

Tell us in a few words why would you would like to serve on the NAWIC Governance Board?

I have served on the Auckland branch committee for 5 years, including 2 as Chair.

These roles deepened my passion for supporting women in construction and showed me the strength of sharing experiences and overcoming challenges together.

Having also completed governance training through the Construction Growth Foundation, I am eager to bring this knowledge to NAWIC’s Board.

I want to contribute at a national level, shaping initiatives that empower members, expand opportunities, and strengthen our collective influence across the construction industry.

What are you most passionate about in construction and what value would you like to add to the existing NAWIC association and its Members?

I am passionate about mentoring and creating opportunities for women in construction.

I believe strongly in the power of networking, knowledge-sharing, and providing the support I once wished I had earlier in my career. With the current market challenges, NAWIC can play a critical role in connecting people, offering opportunities, and fostering resilience.

I want to expand NAWIC’s reach by engaging more companies to back our mission, ensuring women have equal opportunities, strong networks, and a louder voice in the industry.

My goal is to help grow membership and strengthen our community.

    Whangamatā Area School Board (2022 - 2023)

Tell us in a few words why you would like to serve on the NAWIC Governance Board?

I’m standing because I care deeply about the future of our industry. After almost 20 years in construction, I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the moments that make you fight harder for change. I know how tough it can be for women to find their place - and how powerful it is when they do.

For me, this governance role is about supporting NAWIC in creating space, visibility, and opportunities for women to thrive. In my current role, I lead national commercial and risk workstreams, lift capability, coach emerging leaders, and drive better decision-making.

I want to bring that same discipline to NAWIC: clear goals, practical support, and momentum we can measure.  I’d love the chance to bring my experience, honesty, and drive to the table and keep shifting things forward.

What are you most passionate about in construction and what value would you like to add to the existing NAWIC association and its Members?

What really lights me up is seeing women back themselves and succeed in spaces they’ve been told they don’t belong. I’m relentlessly focused on visibility, capability, and pathways.

I’ve led large commercial teams, managed major projects, and sat at tables where I was the only woman many, many times. I’ve also seen what’s possible when women are supported and elevated in a meaningful, deliberate way.

On the NAWIC board, I’d bring that lived experience and determination to drive progress. My focus is wider industry education, practical tools, stronger networks, and opportunities that stick. At the heart of it, I want women to know they’re not just welcome here - they’re desperately needed.
